Nah, this is one of few times I ain't bein sarcastic. David Goyer co-wrote the Dark Knight trilogy. Amongst other geeky shit like Blade n the supcoming Superman. Just kinda surprised.

Ah right. Yea it was announced a while ago and i was stoked for this game since i only really buy FPS for the campaigns and not online play. But the story if fantastic, backed up by great graphics, textures, colour, locations and music. This really is the benchmark for FPS. Hats off to Treyarch, they hit a homer easy.

You shouldn't be. Hollywood composers and directors and writers been doing more games for the past decade. Some crap some great. The medium has grown to where many of them work on games. Not talking VA's either.Tho the medium has a ways to go before it's more exciting when is such a prestige from movie goers that a video game talent of a big name is working on a film and a good one to boot. Maybe great. Took decades to get good comic book films. Gamig will be there some day.

I did have one very small gripe with it though, and this is something that annoys me in entertainment in general. In the original Black Ops, the character of Hudson was voiced (tremendously too) by Ed Harris. He is a pretty central character in that game and this. Now i dont know why, but the was replaced in this game by Michael Keaton. That annoys me so much. If i were a creator of a movie, or show, or anything where a character was portrayed or voiced by someone and they were going to reprise their roles in a future installement, then i would damn well go out of my way to make sure they were used. I dont know if Treyarch thought no one would notice, since its only VO, but i certainly did!

For me, its like replacing Robert Downey Junior as Iron Man, or Bruce Willis in Die Hard. Or removing Tom Hanks and Tim Allen as the characters voices for Toy Storys Woody and Buzz. I dont know the ins and outs of media contracts, availibility, financial agreements etc, but i would either keep the character with their actor, or for Black Ops 2 specifically, just write out the character and replace him with a brand new one. Its easier, clearer, and holds up the continuity of the franchise.

But like i said, small gripe for me

Black Ops 2 just blew my mind. Thats some campaign!! Hollywood writers should work on videogaming more because you can see the involvement of David Groyer from start to finish. This wasnt run along and shoot everything, the branching storylines, the side missions, the setpieces.... oh and the ending?! The entire COD franchise just got its ass handed to it royally. Up there with one of the best ever FPS for me. Astounding.

I was gonna give COD a miss and maybe give Halo 4 a spin, but that was quite a glowing recommendation, and I've spoken to a few folks at work who are right into the single player campaign and loving it too. Hmm....

That reminds me, I still have AW and only played about the first quarter. Really should go back and restart that. I've actually probably got enough stuff in my small but weighing a lot collection to last me aaaages, now I think about it...

I keep forgetting to mention the funny dream I had the other day, I had a dream that like Best Buy or someplace was selling the Vita for $30, I was upset when I found out it was just a dream.

I miss VG Magazines. Even tho I have 11 years worth of them I have read them all many times. So now bought a few more. Ones I needed. More GameFan and finally a few DC magazine. Also snagged a few from the early 90's. Sad thing is I'm such a nerd I will only read them in the bedroom or "retro room" while watching some old Sonic cartoons. Life is good.
