But that's still pretty cool to see. I recognized the trees in the trailer immediately, but didn't realize it was actually a recreated area from the original.

I like it as it's Nintendo using the art style they originally had him in. Has a nice Japanese 80's style

I redact my previous statement, top down view is great but it's the 3D that is bothering me. Should be in Full 2D, just like the original, though technically maybe that would be cheap since it would basically look like a mod of the SNES game. .

That would be great, if not for the fact that the original game was made in the 90s, and Link's design looked more like this:



I think they'd benefit more from a cel-shaded style for this one. Not super-simple cel-shading like Wind Waker, but something mimicking that original artwork. I'm with south carmain, I don't really like the style they're using either. The environments look great, but I'm not keen on much else.

You should replay LTTP as it had 3D in mind back then and it was with the both plains in view. Upper and lower. Entire game.

I honestly think I have lost all interest in Zelda, same as a lot of other Nintendo IPs. Idk maybe the Wii-U zelda, when its unveiled properly will change my mind. I basically skipped skyward sword, although a part of me i guess is still kind of curious about it.

As for this, I wonder why they decided to bring back link to the past after all this time?

Besides it being the best Zelda game of all time imho they want to keep things kid friendly still.

I like that they're using the same basic artstyle of ALTTP, but I wish they'd just stick with the hand drawn graphics as opposed to this 3D variation on it. Also would appreciate if they went with the darker color shades like in ALTTP as well.

I still think if they were going down this route, they should have developed an acutal sequel to LttP. Like a new installment to the franchise. Even with this style i could live with. But just a remake.with a few new additions? Nah, i will still.not buy a 3DS. When they release Majoras Mask tho.........
