I can't see that happening though. Keep in mind that it isn't just a Batman/Superman film, it's the sequel to Man of Steel, so it's still very much a Superman film. The only plausible way of introducing Batman, as far as I can see (from someone who reads the comics, still haven't seen the film), is for Lex to be the link. Wayne Enterprises going up against LuthorCorp, introducing Bruce, and eventually Batman (who, hopefully, has been active on an "urban legend" level, I really don't want to see another "early years" Bats)
Another way would be for Clark, the investigative journalist he is (and I'm assuming here that he's at least on the path to becoming one in MoS), to be "hunting down" other heroes which could link him to Green Lantern, Flash, Wonder Woman, etc., with Batman being his first "discover". The problem that this presents though is that:
1) It'd go a long way to not feeling too forced.
2) People wouldn't necessarily be shocked at the presence of Superman if these heroes have already been active.
3) Are they really considering to create feature-length films based on what Samuel L. Jackson did as Nick Fury in what I assume is less than one cumulative minute worth of screen time prior to the Avengers film?
Batman investigating LexCorp and using Bruce Wayne to get close to him is the most logical option, so story-wise, leaving him out of it would present a huge gamble. This is all of course if it is a true Batman/Superman film, and not 90% one character with the other showing up towards the end, or in minuscule mentions here and there.
At the end of the day, whilst I don't agree with Spence's view on Batman/Superman stories, the most difficult seems to be the first meeting between the two. Not a single story exists that has told this story in a satisfying way, so I'm hoping that they can pull it off, otherwise it could turn out to be an utter train wreck.
