I only ever played Soul Reaver but I really enjoyed it, although I'm still yet to complete it due to my Dreamcast dying on me. I don't think I qualify as a full-on Legacy of Kain fan but this looks total crap. It's a shame as there is a lot of potential with what has been created so far from what limited experience I've had. This is what happens when the original developers are no longer involved on their labour of love.

^I mean, like with Deus Ex, even if they didn't have the original devs on the project, I'd be willing to give a new dev a chance at the series. I'm not against that. What I am against is turning LoK into an online shooter. I mean...really? I'm still trying to wrap my head around this project. How do they get from a single player action adventure series with an epic storyline to a free to play online shooter (with no story content, no single player at all). How?

This is worse than the DmC thing. How is this even related? There was nothing in that video that showed once ounce of LoK. Also yeah as has been said "Let us know how you feel" ratings and comments disabled is great.
Been some good many bad reboots/remakes but this looks to be among the worst just because it has no relation.

Maybe they shouldnt have used the Legacy of Kain name with this... or even better actually made the next proper Legacy of Kain game. Soul Reaver 3, or Blood Omen 3, Defiance 2, would have been cool... Oh yeah and if Crystal Dynamics was doing it. My god what were they thinking?

True, it's the multiplayer thing that's the real problem. It doesn't really look that interesting.

The series ended with Defiance anyway. If they really wanted to continue the series, it has to be with new characters or a reboot.

I love how the developers look so stiff in the video. It's like they can feel the fans' glaring though the screen.

I agree it has no place in the LoK franchise. Sadly if this game crahes, it could be the end of the series for a long time (ea's Syndicate reboot). But it could be fun. I'll give it a chance at least.

Right, but a MGS:R-like experience is a prime worry for me. You have more surefire success if its a person who knows the series or at least gets it.

Only way I could be swayed is of the demo or trailer is amazing (or at bare minimum, good). But until then, I tread with caution.

i was more talking about MGS 3, 4 and possibly 5. Where Kojima stated the previous game was going to be the last in the series yet after 3 games and him saying that its still going, hes a really shitty troll btw.
