Isn't the $80 package all-digital?
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mig ... ighty-no-9
The $60 one has a physical copy of the game, but the $80 one lists all digital content. Of course I've never donated to a Kickstarter, so I might just not understand the ins and outs of it.

It includes previous awards is my understanding. If not then I will lower it to 75$ to get the previous pledge.

Yeah, I think you should lower it if you can... They have a sort of checklist at the bottom of the page which fills in a box for everything that comes with each package, and the 80 dollar one strictly says digital.

Yup. Done. Even if outside my means it's worth it. They showed off the very first gameplay and only 13 seconds but it is Mega Man. More Mega Man X(IMO X is the better series than classic even tho both great)

I'm very confident about this as I feel Inafune will not allow it to fail nor will the fans. So I hope in the future he can give us another Legends if Under the Mighty name or something else.

btw Mega Man 2 composer joining in on the project

PS4, Xbox One, Vita & 3DS versions have been unlocked now too. I pledged $40 towards this just now in its final few hours (4 hours left).

I do wonder with how badly Capcom are doing financially if they decide to...ya know, press charges?

If I said I wasn’t worried at all, that would be a lie,” he said. But he went on to note that “Everybody has a freedom in creativity, and there are a lot of people out there that have created their games out of respect towards Mega Man. So I don’t think there’s anything wrong with creating a game with a similar respect.”

“So far, there hasn’t been any contact from Capcom,” Inafune noted. “As a matter of fact, I’ve been talking with some of the dev team at Capcom, [and] there are some people saying that they secretly back the project, and are rooting for Mighty No. 9.”

It's possible but I'm kinda doubting it. Nothing happened to W101 which is ore Viewtiful joe than Pikmin. Or Bayonetta which is similar to DMC. True this is practically identical unlike those but I feel Capcom will respond in a different way. they already just put up a Mega Man Board Game Kickstarter and just announced a Mega Man X OST CD Set. That's about the ony way Capcom knows how to respond to this imo.

Not even close. That's the whole point of the kick starter they needed the money to make it. So they could not be making it before they had the money(kickstarter does not charge you until the kickstarter ends). Just the planning stages and a few tests. Game is not slated to be released until April 2015. So it's a long way off.

His name is Beck?
...really?

Anyway, I think they might be jumping the gun a bit if that whole thing is legit. Just because they raised a bunch of money from avid cult gamers doesn't mean the franchise is necessarily ready for mainstream success. It's still just a Mega Man imitator that's going to exist solely as a download-only game. I'm not so sure tv success is the most realistic of hopes.
Unless the animated series is just going to be a web-based thing, in which case ignore what I've said.

How about they hurry up and release the game already. And yeah, this whole thing doesn't sit well with me either. It's not a game anymore, it's now an entire cross-media saga. I guess you can take Mr. Inafune out of Capcom but cannot take the Capcom out of Mr. Inafune.

I actually like the look of Azure Striker Gunvolt more and that wasn't crowdfunded at all (and it's releasing August in Japan).
