Us "helping" rebels, Russia was right there to see us fuck it up right from the start of this disturbing way of doing things when we gave the Afghans the support to throw the Red Army out of Afghanistan. Democracy doesn't work in places like that, some sections of society are just too crazy to obey normal rules, so need a bad motherfucker to MAKE them behave, like Saddam or Assad. I bet anything that if we didn't interfere in that part of the world more recently (like say about Gulf War 2), most of the stories about how hellish the Middle East is that get plastered all over the media now, wouldn't exist. We have NO business being there anyway, Saddam didn't have WMDs, and interfering with affairs to the extent that has happened and is happening now, is basically some puppet-master shit which is pretty morally corrupt as well IMO.
Israel is sworn to have protection from the US, fine, but they seemed to manage that before with "some" troubles, but nowhere near the extent it is now...
Are you sure you aren't an expat from the USA? That by no means is an insult, but you have a very thorough understanding about what's happening across the Atlantic. But unfortunately, the Western world (including Europe) has no idea what we're dealing with considering these offences have plagued the Middle Eastern and Asian world for far longer than we are made cognizant of. Especially in places like India (specifically Kashmir), Burma, Sudan, Waziristan, etc. Only now we're fighting over nuclear power along with religious infighting and the conquering of outlying territories. But to be quite frank, these conflicts date well beyond our modern age. In fact, it spans over hundreds, if not thousands of years. Different time period, but same brutish mentality. It's pretty much the imploding conflict of returning to ancient Islamic principles... moderates may find this to be unreasonably harsh and will face certain death if they oppose it. For instance, take the killing, raping, and pillaging of "kuffar" civilians or "unbelievers". Also the destruction of religious shrines and precious artifacts going back to the very dawn of Abrahamic religions. It's really sad.
Oh. Not to mention there are instances where we have proven there were in fact, WMDs present and transported out of those regions. But seeing as how the Middle East is more connected than a prostitution ring and an Indian spice trade, it would be hard for any civilian to decipher that, so no faults there. The media can't and shouldn't telegraph military intelligence and for good reason. Forgot to say that, meh. Palestine for example, has tunneled miles and miles into the Israeli underground, where they smuggle weapons and old cinder blocks they chip with their teeth or something.
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news ... estinians/And you're definitely en pointe when you say "puppet master" because we are technically fighting a proxy war between a division of allies. I don't want to mention where specifically because I am aware I'm on the "world wide intrawebz via Dojo" and I do not want to offend denizens. Plus, I ran out of coffee and I can't argue without my jet fuel/rocket propellant. People may say that the USA is on the same side of Israel, but due to our present leadership here, I doubt it. In fact, we've gone as so far to ignore Netanyahu's pleas for help and continue to markedly side with opposing forces. One of our congresswomen, Nancy Pelosi (D) actually turned her back and ignored a speech he made to the USA, calling for unity. It was incredibly disrespectful and embarrassing to our nation that we would treat a world leader as such. Even Vladimir Putin got some souvenirs from us:

I feel that we need military occupation to staunch future ballistic attacks. Without weapons intelligence and reconnaissance missions, we cannot vet enemies. You cannot fight against anything, especially war, if you do not know your enemy. You won't even win a dance fight in West Side Story. You cannot appease nor subjugate to a hostile group who absolutely, unequivocally hate you and your way of life. They do not and will not regard peace treaties, ceasefires, or sanctions, which they've already broken many times over. What's that, a piece of paper that says you get to sit in a corner and sulk, by the way no dessert tonight little Timmy? I live in a target city where people openly despise our country and laws, and they threaten to disturb our safety everyday, and that's just your usual citizens in organized crime. It's not like this threat hasn't existed before, but we do have a natural oceanic border sans the porous borders like Canada or Mexico. Whereas, you do not that much of a safety net. I feel concerned for European citizens because you are facing a threat with brute force and you have nowhere to go. All of your major cities and waterways are interconnected and proximate, hence easier intrusion and penetration of defenses. And almost no judicial unity amongst neighboring districts or territories. You can have a bomber flee from one country to another and gain legal asylum, and sometimes one government is not incommunicado with the other. Maybe in some cases, but none too specific and it would require the guidance of Interpol and cooperation of foreign leaders. And even that could fail us. We had Saudi officials warn us as far back as the late 90's about the plotting of attacks on America and we (Clinton) did nothing to stop that in fear of retaliation by killing civilians and destroying mosques. You can thank Jimmy Carter first and foremost, I bet that free UAE honey is looking mighty sexy on his sagging nipples. I'm not being a conspiracy theorist, these can be easily verified via proper web media or books on this subject. Without the determination of our leaders, the unification of our citizens, and the strength of our armies, any given country will fall to its knees.
Well fellas, enjoy burqa-less titties while you can.
