It's because I order it from abroad. Amazon removes the domestic taxes and add the difference on the packaging and posting price. In the end, I've paid 30.45£.

Very impressive results, amazing to see it reach the top in places!
I hope that Sega gets the message the right way and gives the devs an extra boost to increase the quality of the ports possibly even more.

It is doing quite well here in Germany too, though you have to look at the charts the right way, or I just don't know how to filter for actual games only. There are loads of PSN cards and... batteries? Anyway when looking at just those the PS4 version is 8th overall and 4th on PS4 itself. The Xbox One version is actually at the very top in that category.

Unfortunately I can't preorder on Amazon easily. The won't let me do anything without using gift card money on my account as they just can't get over an incident that happened and has been fully resolved long long ago.
Have not decided yet if I want to try this method of payment, have avoided using Amazon since they told me that's my only option. I generally haven't decided if I preorder or just hunt around the stores to get it as early as possible.
Though I guess I can do both as I need the game more than once anyway.

The fact that it's staying atop the charts with a powerhouse like God of War(which is arguably one of the greatest games ever made imo, based on personal play and not just the glowing reviews) is a true testament to it's power as a loved franchise getting a second chance at life.

I'm good friends with my old manager from GameStop and pre-orders went live there this morning, it seems. I'll probably order from him. He said prior to it going live he was getting 3 or 4 requests.


I hope this is as big a wake-up call as Sega gets when they reevaluate the franchise's future.

This is so awesome haha! Just busy doing work and keep looking at twitter to see that someone has made another post saying that Shenmue 1 & 2 HD are in the top sellers in their country. It doesn't get much better than this guys! The pre-orders are so damn strong it's crazy! !!

This is great to see. Pre-ordered my PS4 copy yesterday.

Assuming there'll be a Steam preorder option, I'm waiting for that to go live so I can gift a copy to my nephew (make that two Steam pre-orders...I'll be needing a PC version of my own, obviously).
