Contratulations, Phil!! You finally got the pictures up!!
It's good your mobile phone can take pictures big enough for PC.
I can assure you that the train could be more packed, though!! ;)

So, you went to this hotel: http://www.metropolitan.jp/eng/index.htm

You know, the name of the Chinese restaurant there is Kei-Lin, meaning Guilin!!

Well, how did you enjoy the all-night-long Karaoke? :)

Nice pictures! Sounds like you are having fun. It would be great if a bunch of Dojo members could meet up in Japan someday. Just being 14, I don't think I can make it there until I'm done with college, or during a summer or something when I'm in college. So if anyone plans on going in say, 6 or 7 years, give me a call :)

Yawsuhs. I haven't really looked at this topic till recently. Mostly because I was afraid that reading it would really get me down knowing that I can't go till this time next year :( It's done a good job of getting be exited about going, yet sad about having to wait at the same time!

I just responded to your PM Damulder. I really hope you can follow through with this.

St. Elmo's Fire wrote:Shibuya Terminal...I was gonna ask about that actually since, oddly, it's the Japanese-place-name-that-features-in-an-Xbox-game (Jet Set Radio/Future) that sticks in my head the most! :? :)

And you said a while back that they like your European charm and how in some places they are actually almost in awe of foreigners...a little idea if you wanna live there...if you opened a, say, shop or a stall or something, would you be able to play on that European novelty as a factor in making your shop or whatever more popular and getting more money? Just an idea...

Yeah, people do that here. On the streets of Shinjuku there are loads of stands where westeners sell necklaces and watches and stuff which are European style (just like in Europe we have south americans selling the same stuff ;))

But back to the news:
Tokyo, 2pm, 28 degrees - sunshine
My god I am sweating like a pig here. This is the first summer day I am experiencing this year and my blood is not yet accustomed to this kind of climate! I am not in my favorite Comic Kissa right now as they have trouble with their online connection so I had to go somewhere else where sadly I cannot upload pics. But I will deliver them later, no worries! Last night I went to a real Japanese Pub where you sit in a small seperated room with a table and the floor is lowered so you can put your legs down. Hard to describe but I hope you`ll be able to see it on the pics. We ate and drank a lot sake and the bill was only 3000 yen each! (15 pounds, 25 US$) That place was amazing and I would never have found it if it weren`t for my friends. We also went there with the bulgarian aerobics coach and 3 more bulgarian friends. It was great fun!
I have to say that Sake gets to your head much faster but you also tend to sober out fast again. Or maybe you just sober out when the train is so packed that drunk people can actually sleep in there being squeezed so much that they can`t fall over :) I saw that yesterday!
I wanted to go to Asakusa today and take pictures but sadly as I cannot save the pics on my camera there is no point in going I am afraid. I might just take the metro and go wherever... I might find something somehwere. My instincts are usually reliable for that ;)
Well, not much news apart from this I guess. LanDC knows that something cool might be coming up but that is still completely open. You will all know soon enough ;)
Well, gotta go... sweating so much right now but my deoderant is very reliable! Not smelly yet ;)

See you all later dudes (and girls)
Phil

hey man, just saw this topic browsing through.. I must have just missed you I left Japan over a week ago.. seeing as i didn't read many of the posts (limited time) I don't really know if you have been to dobuita st.. it's well worth it - even just to go into the arcade!! Seemed pretty weird.. I think u'd be suprised at how americanized it was.
(thanks kiyuu i got there, and odaiba - which was great)

also (if you are still there) on sundays about 1pm outside Meiji shrine there is cosplay which was really good and funny!! Get pics taken with them all, a great laugh.
oh yeah and roppongi at night! hopefully i can upload my pictures somewhere at some point and we can compare them.

Hey Rob!
Yeah, I heard you were in Japan and yes, I missed you by a week! Anyway, sadly I will have to miss that Sunday cosplay cause tomorrow I got free tickets for the Suzuki Aerobics world cup and next sunday I am leaving already. But I still wanna go to Odaiba and Dobuita St. maybe sometime next week. But I also have to go to Joypolis and an onsen (hotspring bath). But I still got a whole week so I hope I`ll get it all done.
Well, 1:50 pm now and I should get some sleep to go and see the Suzuki cup tomorrow morning. I am very much outside Tokyo now and it takes an hour to get to the city from here! Anyway, the weather tomorrow is gonna be great again as far as I`ve heard (25 degrees) so I know it will be a great day already!

I will post some more details on what I did today later, there was a lot going on! And I will post some more pics as well, hopefully tomorrow!

So see you all later as usual!
Phil

P.S. For everybody who thinks they know what "cool thing" might be happening, you are right: I will break into the Digital Rex headquarters at some point next week and steal the complete script of the Shenmue Saga! But PSSST! - don`t let anyone know... the cops have tapped my phone already! Good thing they don`t really speak english ;)

very cool 8) wow that would be amazing!... u'll have to go back at night when there arnt so many security guards, and you'll need a flashlight, which number warehouse-I mean... 'floor' is it?

When you get it im not sure i would want to kno the ending tho... maybe you (a westoner) trying to take the script will be the final straw for suzuki and his team and push them into actually making it!!! :D good luck
